I wouldn't say this is my "best" sunset, but it took a while to set up for this shot and I'm pleased with the end result. Sunset or Sunrise, could go either way on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A little detail about this shot. Take note of the tree to the right. This was my main or forced focal point as the sun was in the middle of a group of trees. The tree on the right Touching the screen (Pin Pointing) is sharp (to some degree) while I was attempting to capture the shadows off in the distance. I suspect if I waited a bit longer I would have lost the fog shadows on the horizon.

Great landscape.

Is that Switzerland, or possibly Austria/Slovenia? Really wish I'll be able to visit again (for the latter two).

Edit: lol forget my dumb question, I just saw the photo title... Still a great shot :)

Thanks! It's in Italy indeed. Slovenia and Austria are also very beautiful.

Its a staged scene. I tied a red ribbon on a rolled plain piece of paper then put it in a bottle. I wish it would have been a better sunset though.

Lower the camera to the ground and try to get the sunset colors in the glass.

That is a good idea. I just have to shoot it with a longer lens...so that I'm farther away from the wave action. I kinda gun-shy of lowering the camera so low that a wave might get me. I remember shooting that Heineken bottle so low and close and concentrating on the LCD screen that my camera almost went in the water when a wave came. See my picture a few post back regarding the Heineken bottle.
