Sorry for posting non-Sony shots. This short video was shot using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I was using the DJI Osmo4 Gimbal and Filmic Pro App. Edited in FCP.

What do you think?

Beautiful excellent work.

The iPhone struggles to hold up in dark shadows, but the smoothness of the camera work keeps the mind focused on the real estate and not on the shortcomings of the little sensor. The desaturated look isn’t my favorite.

Thanks for the feedback. i agree it's not bad when light is good. and yes i agree on the lack of saturation too. i'll keep it in mind. i'll try to fix it later.

A piece of my green world. Always green here, or green and white in winter. Bierds might
as well be green too.

If you hadn't said iPhone I'd never have known it. Agree with the desaturated comments, I felt something different just didn't know the technical term for it. Agree with Travis's comment on that little jump in the bedroom. Love the fan in motion reflected in the mirror above the bed.

Finished this one up last week, but didn't have the space on Vimeo to upload it! This was the last one for Seed Studio this year. Y'all have seen a couple of the still already.

Travis as usual its a great video, however I must say tbh the music just didn't do it for me. I watched it a couple of times muted just to soak in the place. That hot tub is super! My views however are purely on a non technical basis as I'm just not qualified to afford technical comments. Not being a professional photographer or artistically inclined, my views would be considered from a layman I suppose. Just have a love for taking pictures, and worry about the technicalities later if at all!

Thanks Travis - He just needs a kick up the ar$e with the photo stuff at times!

He does enjoy art. Top marks in the whole school! Always thought he might do some sort of engineering because he's so technically minded but he currently wants to be a tattoo artist.

My son 22, hopes to major in human biology. He started with engineering and megatronics. He was good with numbers but couldn't set his mind to keep up, found the advanced math hard and changed to human biology. Irony of it is, in high school and HSC the highest (top) marks he got was for human biology! Go figure.

The background music for this one was dictated more by my client. He gave me some tracks to listen to as inspiration, and then I provided a while bunch to him to pick from. It is not really my taste, but it for him, fit the project and the owners. For my own use at some point I will re edit it with new music...I can't just replace the music, it has to be a full re-edit.

I actually liked the music and almost commented on it fitting the video well  . Music will always be polarising on videos especially since it needs to be copyright free so generally not anything people recognise

A few pics from me after a trip to the Northumberland coastline. A fair trek in the car for us, so we've never been before. Turns out there are lots of amazing beaches and castles up there - weather was also kind so we had a great time. The 200-600 even got some use. Surprisingly the first one is with the 24-105, second and third with the 200-600.

I had an amazing trip. The light was awful with all the smoke from fires in other states blowing into Utah..... However I would put it as epic and as a photo trip.... I will do this route again and again and again. Will post more later

Morning in Canyon De Chelly

this was with the GM 14........ I love the lens.... however I hit the bulbus front element in an accident I will describe later.... it is on its way to Sony pro for repair.

Beautiful shot. The sandstone canyons have been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember but I have never been able to commit and get out there to experience them.

I always wanted to go to Zion to hike the Angel's Landing Trail but my partner would never do it do to her fear of heights. She has overcome some of those fears so maybe I'll be able to experience it with her in the near future. We had planned to do Camino del Rey in southern Spain last year , which is nowhere near as dangerous as Angel's landing, especially with the new re-constructed walkway but the covid situation prevented that from happening. Maybe next summer.

Sorry to hear about you accident with the 14GM, it's always on my mind when I'm out shooting with these types of lenses, I have been fortunate that I have not had any accidents of my own given some of the places I have taken them to.

I think I know the answer, but would appreciate your thoughts. Yesterday I'm up flying and taking some shots. I ended up with these when I was shooting forward through the propeller. The shutter speed was high enough on the A7Riv but I was using the electronic, not mechanical, shutter. Is that why I'm getting stripes instead of a stopped propeller?

This was taken at 1/800th, f/4, iso 640. The same thing happened on images with shutter speeds 1/2000th and faster.

It's called rolling shutter effect, and you'll get it when using the electronic shutter on fast moving subjects on mirrorless Sonys except for the a9, a9II and a1.
