Wild horses in the Tonto National Forest near Saguaro Lake in Arizona. These are young stallions that spend a lot of time sparring with each other.

I think I know the answer, but would appreciate your thoughts. Yesterday I'm up flying and taking some shots. I ended up with these when I was shooting forward through the propeller. The shutter speed was high enough on the A7Riv but I was using the electronic, not mechanical, shutter. Is that why I'm getting stripes instead of a stopped propeller?

This was taken at 1/800th, f/4, iso 640. The same thing happened on images with shutter speeds 1/2000th and faster.

Yep. Rolling shutter

Edit - are you a pilot? That’s very cool

It's called rolling shutter effect, and you'll get it when using the electronic shutter on fast moving subjects on mirrorless Sonys except for the a9, a9II and a1.

I suspected that it was rolling shutter. I'm not a pilot but have lots of good friends who are pilots. :-)

I actually liked the music and almost commented on it fitting the video well  . Music will always be polarising on videos especially since it needs to be copyright free so generally not anything people recognise

It fits the client, kinda tech, kinda retro, kinda analog, little chill groove, and that is what they use the space for. At the end of the day, it is my client that is trying to document his projects in new ways...and I am here for that! Music is hard to pick, I have a licensing service that I use, and have a ton of options...it took me 3 hours to find the track, it took me 4 hours to compile the footage into the video. The music is a huge part of it.

I like it. Question, is is standard to put community amenities at the front of the video?

I don't think so but i wanna make it different especially that when i shot the photos, the seller really asked me not to forget to shoot those. I'm thinking that If i add those at the end, those who are lazy to finish watching will miss it.

I don't know anything about Video so looking at this purely as a viewer all looks good but the speed up bits seem odd to me .

Sorry for posting non-Sony shots. This short video was shot using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I was using the DJI Osmo4 Gimbal and Filmic Pro App. Edited in FCP.

What do you think?

looks great

the major downside of the iphone is the flare, dof for people, skin, awb, and low light for video
