A truly beautiful shot, Ken! Everything is perfect in this one.

Thanks Mike. I was actually trying to get some shots of fire planes taking off and it flew in and posed briefly between planes.

many thanks Mike. Now wouldn't that be nice.
Actually I get a fair number of blank canvasses, a lot of the fleeting end of a wren or just seriously blurred ones. They hop along the ground or on the timber, foraging and I am yet to guess their moments of stillness before launching onto the next place of delving.

Here's a couple from today and the male Superb Fairy Wren (we just call them Blue Wren) was like a jumping jack and rarely still long enough to capture

The female was also foraging but in a different location and it was very wet and had a different agenda I think

I just assumed you had them trained. When you want to get few shots you call them in and tell them where to pose:lol:. They're very handsome little birds and I'm glad you make the effort to get these images to share.

It was just great to be out and about with my camera in the sunshine today. A ChiffChaff.

Thank you, Ken. I went to an area with dead vines and hoped for the best. Getting them cleanly in trees/bushes is near impossible now.
