Dorset again from our holiday. I didn't take the Contax 80-200/4 & the first morning I find myself on top of a hill with mist below

I don't know what lens you used, but I really like that composition.

Thanks! Will keep working on it. For now, how about a black and white image from RMNP?

And here is where the film will shines over a digital, if i look at this image from film say large format or even medium format it will have live-like more, in fact the only time i like black and white from digital is because it is trying to mimic a film B&W, otherwise i will never choose B&W from digital.

I bought the spyder one from Amazon and it was mega buggy and had to go back so avoid that one. The x-rite seems to get good reviews. Once you have it people recommend the displaycal software as opposed to the software by the manufacturers. It’s free and supposed to be more accurate

I tried DisplayCal with my ColorMunki Display, and it badly threw off my monitor's color. Can't say I'd recommend it.

Don't. I think it depends on subject matter.
If BIF was the only thing I did I'd thin A1 for sure, but honestly I got just as many keepers with the a9, but I was traveling to
way more venues then.
If I was a landscaper predominantly I'd of stuck with the A7Riv. To me it is hands down the landscaping giant in FF.
I'm actually using/carrying the A7C a lot (with the 100-400) just because of size and weight.
For wildlife there is nothing out there like the A1+200600 but you know Eddie after a while the weight sets into the bones.

Using the Prograde UHS-IIs 256gb x's 2 v90 and I've never filled the buffer. Until Prograde puts out Type A I see no reason
to pay for the Sony Type A's.

I thought the a9 was good at tracking...the a1 is just that much better...I wish I had thought to shoot at panning speeds to see if it was good in that.

I had to get out of the house tonight...have done nothing for 7 weeks, and with a new bit of kit...I wanted out! This kid on a JetSki gave me some target practice.
Big time, heavy crop...original was 3500 on the long side out of the 8600 of the original.

I also really wanted to test out long exposures, since I kinda do a lot of that. I am a big proponent of test out new gear in the ways that you plan to use it. It passed...

I was happy when the scene came into view! First visit there too!

Not really a full on cloud inversion as it's not that high. I'll need Wales or Scotland for that I think.....
