Thank you very much, Mike/Richard. This bird with a mate ( a first for me again) just flew over from the middle of the lake and landed right in front of my vehicle. I had just driven up and shooting them across the lake. At the same time the battery on the A1 exhausted. So very very slowly I reached over to the backseat had my camera bag with the A9. Took the battery and continued to shoot from inside the car. This fella was not 10 feet away. The image is uncropped. This day was a very exciting day for me birding wise. Getting there before sunrise and watching the whole place come to life as the sun rose. Came away with one exhausted battery and 2 full memory cards.
