Well sir, You seem to be getting around to some beautiful places at the right time for good light. Is that trail down in the right corner the only way to get up to this location?

Looks good! Watch the contrast and saturation when scanning. Scanning software typically boosts those quite a lot, which impacts rendition of the highlights and shadows.
