Olympic National Park's Hurricane area was a great place for seeing deer. Our presence did not bother them at all. I'm not an expert to tell what species they were though.

How long of a lens did you use?

She must have been pretty tired, she stayed in this position even as we left after a couple of shots.
I just added the lens to the metadata settings, 100-400mm + 1.4 extender - 560mm. The distance to the deer was about 40m to 50m.

Every afternoon a couple of whitetails does come into my pasture to feed. They bring their fawns along. The fawns always wind up romping around and having a good time. When they see me, they take off for the creek bottom, flying through the air. The does just stay and feed. Always great fun to watch them all. The fall is truly a great time of the year for everyone including the wildlife.:-):-):-)
