It's a technique called "levitation". She's quite comfortably resting on 2 chairs, which were removed in post :)

Clever.

Greay post processing. I was wondering if she "landed it" as well. Great shot.

The post is absolutely minimal actually. You take a shot from the tripod with everything in place (lighting, props etc), sans the model and chairs. Then introduce the model and chairs. Combine 2 shots as layers, mask out the chairs, and it's done.

You did a great job with some motion blur at her feet. That tricked me and completely sold the illusion. Cheers.

Quick & casual image run through Luminar AI. It's pretty impressive software in terms of finding all the face features and letting you adjust them with a few sliders. Teeth might come across as a little wonky but that's from the Invisalign, which, so far, seems to be pretty impressive dentistry. If I didn't need 4 wisdom teeth pulled, I'd be on the Invisalign, too.

Going through old film prints and scanning. Came across what is probably one of my top 5 favorite pictures of my "best wife".

This picture is most likely from 1985, roughly 36 years old, I was in the Marines and we were in a long distance relationship with her coming to El Toro CA. from Seattle WA. two or three times a years and me heading to Seattle once or twice a year so we were able to see each other every 3-4 months. We did that for almost two years, and in 1986 she moved to CA. And we were married in 1987.

I am so glad she became a part of my life, we have known each other since 7th grade and I really can’t imagine life without her.

Wish we had today’s technology back then, it would have made the distance easier to cope with, especially the time I spent overseas after we were married when we had to rely on letters and the very occasional, very expensive long distance phone calls for communication.
