So the small one for the micro USB is still stuck?
It is the same LPlate for all those cameras...and that is what is out of stock...

Yeah the micro usb port is blocked and unaccessible when the L-potyion of the bracket is fully up against the camera body. It's blocked by the QD connector hole built into the vertical portion of the bracket. Here's a quick shot of the bracket, sorry for the out of focus shot , but you can see what I am referring to nevertheless.

do you guys find that the RRS plates are well designed? I'm looking into getting one but curious if it will or will not scratch the base of the camera.

So the S all Rib L bracket arrived today. The new doors on the A1 are hinged, so they require room to open. With the bracket at its closest fit, they don't open. I will have to see if the RRS handles this better. I am not a fan of leaving the bracket extended and don't want to move it every time I need to access the ports.

The Pro Media Gear L brackets are not tight on the body and therefore you can get the doors open.

The only thing is they are out of stock for the A1 version.

Sorry Travis, just realised I should have caveatted my previous comment about the small rig brackets. On the A92 you have to attach it with a gap to the side of the body. I do find that a bit annoying. My a7r3 one is tight to the body. On the a92 with the gap the doors open ok, I should have been clearer with that

Wow, that is really blocked, anything with a larger plug is going to have trouble there.

I bought the light version, not the sliding one so I need to see if it is different.

I have never had an issue. They are also lighter. The Small Rig one I have now, isn't light and doesn't feel as well made as the RRS plates.

Yeah that slide put, the one I bought I don't think is movable, gotta go look at the specs again.

The Ultralight one piece slides the whole plate in a slot on the bottom instead of a moving aide piece, which is ok, not the best, but it looks different on the end, that port isn't obstructed, so it might be the winner if it ever gets here.

With my a99ii and 50 1.4 ZA sold, it was enough to get me into a new A7c with kit lens and a 55 1.8. Just waiting on delivery... first order from Greentoe since the 50 1.4 Art came out.

I'm nervous about giving up all those MP, but happy to be gaining IQ and portablility. I will probably buy a 3rd lens when my other two a-mount lenses sell, probably a telephoto zoom.

For all you guys who went from the original and Gen2 a6x00 and a7x bodies, how big of a difference does the bigger battery make? I'm expecting quantum leaps in eye AF and tracking, but I am definitely curious about how big of a difference the bigger battery makes in everyday use.

One of the reasons I got rid of my 6x00 bods (well converted one to IR) was because the bigger battery is way better it was also a decision going from the A7r2 to A7r4 night and day. If i turn it off while hiking I can make it last a full day and thats about 1k shots.

For me 24 is plenty. I have the a7s at 12m and it's enough for what I do. I don't print and just share pictures at 1080p most. Only a few times where I was asked for bigger resolution for printing. For personal use I'm happy with lower. Easy to work with and easy on the hard drive hehe. The 55 1.8 is a magnificent lens!! My future light weight will be the a7c and the old 55 1.8, 35 2.8, 24-70 f4 which I still have.

Bigger battery is awesome. You don't need to bring many. Ive only needed 1 spare.

That's on the new gears!

Overwatch is big! Im looking forward to what comes from it. You have large scale tournaments competing in overwatch. That could open up a whole new segment for you into other team based games.

Apparently it is a big deal...if it wasn't for him I wouldn't know what it was. I think it will be fun, not counting on it leading to anything...the pessimist in me...

It’s going to be. Looking forward to the results. Will you get a chance to capture them when they compete as well?

Yep defo a big deal. Most of the betting websites/apps in the uk allow you to gamble on it, for example -
