Good shot Sir.. haha.. and yes.. it is the UK :)

Oh.. and nice gear.. did you upgrade? Must've sold a kidney or something..

Thanks! I’ve had the 1DX MKIII for a while now and love it and I’ve kept my MKII as a second body but I hired the 500mm f4 for the weekend. It’s the second time I’ve hired it and I’m looking at buying one now as I love it so much! So… I’ve still got both kidneys for now but maybe not for much longer!

Taken five seconds apart as these two cranked it around the corner on a high speed low level tail chase back in February 2020 just before the world went mad.

Was a bit of a cruddy day with the heat haze and humidity, but hey, now I would take anything!

Someone said to me when I was hesitant about coughing up the cash for mine.. "My only regret is why didn't I buy one sooner?".. and it's true.. all those airshows shot on Sigma gear.. lol.. But yeah.. the 500 is an awesome lens and allows you to get shots that others can't..

Wow.. those are epic shots buddy.. Seriously awesome and am even more impressed that those were 1/160 @ 1000mm! It honestly looks like an air to air shoot at the Museum :)

Here's a couple of The Great War Display Team for Richard! I didn't get many pictures of them this year as they were the first display and I was still running around doing other things! :-(

Thanks Mark
They really tick my boxes.
Beautifully captured.

Today I watched a few videos of a show in Canada, well think it was.
Edit. Was it Clacton Air Show?
I googled and found reference, 1914
2 Lancaster's flying together. Awesome
Not to mention some old seaplanes. Plus others.
Those shows, or just to see them live would be very special

Thanks Richard. Clacton is on the east coast of England and under normal circumstances has an airshow every year. In 2014 the Canadian Lancaster ‘Vera’ came to the UK and flew with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster including at the Clacton Airshow. An incredible sight not seen for many years! Hopefully it will come back again when ‘Just Jane’ finally becomes airworthy again and we can see three Lancaster with twelve Merlins roaring away! I suspect that Cygnus may have some photographs of the two Lancasters stashed away somewhere!

Sorry to disappoint you but I have none at all. I was in Japan on hols during most of Vera's visit and didn't go to the September Duxford show for reasons that escape me. Actually I don't even have a decent (to me) picture of the BBMF example.

CAC CA-18 Mk.23 Mustang VH-SVU A68-750

The RAAF Museum's Mustang returning from a display at Tyabb Airshow in 2020. This aircraft is actually A68-170 and built in 1949. It has been with the RAAF Museum since 1970 and was restored to flying condition in 1989-99.
