Beautiful shot, Shortaction!

These are two great shots, Mikeivan! I really like the second one...it's is so sharp and crisp.

Really nice, sharp shot, Ken! You've got that new lens tuned in beautifully.

Terrific shot, Ed!

Thanks, Mike

You captured this egret beautifully, Manny! I love the rich green colors of the water in both these shots.

Thank you very much Mike.

Another fine warbler shot. They're rare vagrants around here, but one showed up a few days ago and I got a quick look. I want to get back to try for a pic, but there have been some other rare birds to chase. Got lucky today with a Nelson's Sparrow that's been up at Tahoe for a few days.

Thanks, Ken! That's a great grab of the Nelson's. Never seen one of those. Congrats!

Rose-breasted Grosbeak currently are migrating through the area. Here are two different first-year males.

The thing that sets both of these beautiful shot off, is the great lighting, Steve! They really are appealing shots.

Blackburnian Warbler, Fall, likely a 1st-yr female

Very nice shot, Steve! I'll bet it was really tough to get a good shot of this gal, due to all the foliage you had to deal with.

Thanks much, Mike! I agree about the lighting for the grosbeaks. And you're so right about the warbler. You stare at the bush with foliage moving and hope that the warbler pops up, and when it does you hope some more that you'll be able to focus. A fun challenge!

Thanks Steve. First one I've seen myself.
