Was this a recent shot Old, Grey and Fuzzy? I live in Elkhart about 12 miles north of Goshen. Where did you find this?

That was taken in May of 2014. Don't remember where it is. I seem to think it is West of town.
If I remember correctly, Elkhart had an highway underpass that auto transports used to use
to turn sedans into convertibles.

We have many highway underpasses and overpasses in Elkhart. I do remember you telling the story once before of turning sedans into convertibles, but I have no idea where that would have been done at. Where ever it was, it must have been fixed because I never read about it in the paper!

Agree with Charles
Great bit of history.
You captured that all very well.

I worked on a subdivision that split the gaol from the police house a couple years back.
Unfortunately only had phone with me and shots were hopeless in the tiny rooms.
It got demolished and though perhaps from the late 50's it was perhaps one of the very few remaining of that era. Now demolished and I'm annoyed I didn't go and get my camera.

Fort Gratiot Lighthouse Port Huron Michigan

Oldest lighthouse in Michigan (1829) and 2nd oldest on the Great Lakes. the light was automated in 1931 or 1932 with just a rotating green beacon outside the normal fourth-order Fresnel lens that was installed in 1857.
