Wanted to share this and determined this was the only logical place for it.

Taken while I was TDY Aberdeen Proving Grounds not that long ago. I was fortunate to have a 16-35L glass with me at the time.

I was thinking more along the lines of dishing up some godzilla steaks for supper? ;)

Awesome bridge.
And a curved one just to add to the design elements.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing

I’d be holding my breath on that thing! Kinda scary looking.

If I had any concerns, I'd be more concerned for cables on suspension bridges.
All bridge designs have critical parts, but not saying any of this to cause even an inkling of alarm.
Trestle bridges are amazing strong structures.

Thank you. It is quite the sight. You have to hike to get there and it is much taller than the photo shows. It is quite scary for someone who is afraid of heights. I have been there a couple of times but had never read the sign which is across the road and not near the trailhead. Who would have thought someone actually had the name Frankenstein.

A toothed rack rail, mounted between the running rails.
The trains are fitted with one or more cog wheels or pinions that mesh with this rack rail.
On Cog Railway line to the Jungfraujoch taken at Wengen, Switzerland

Everyone meet JOE !

This was taken a few years ago - sadly the last time I went through Buxton Station he had been vandalised - but hopefully he's rebuilt by now. I hope you can read the poster ...
