Spent the weekend in Driggs, ID. Did some mountain biking and some hiking. Took this shot of the Tetons last night from our friend's front yard. What a view!

Posting on a mountain, the only place with any signal. Managed ssome Milky way shots in a short time window last night. Star party at the McDonald Observatory tonight. Better window for Milkyway tomorrow night.

Last night in thee mountains was overcast unfortunately so nothing from the higher elevations. Returned to our mid-point heading home. Had decent skies last night so snapped a few. No on the road processing. I look forward to sharing and getting feedback.

An ICM image of a group of Aspens that I found on next to the Peak-to-Peak highway. These trees were on private property so I made sure to stand behind the owner's fence.

Cardinals molting here.
And I've been absent a few days---from life.
Image (might be too harsh for some/look with discretion) showing why.
Had my first debridement/huge chunks of dead flesh removed. Lots of fun/no anesthesia
for that or the stitches post blood clot removal.
As mentioned before, 1/2 inch deeper and I wouldn't be here today.
Still a ways to go in the healing process...and so behind on outdoor projects/outdoor dirty work still
prohibited by the doctor :(
Injury was 3+ weeks ago now.

Mountain biked up to this spot on Saturday and we just sat there for a long time in the silence taking in the view. Fall is my favorite time to be outside.

This was kinda fun...after a couple Double IPA's...I actually got 6 of 10...some were really easy.
I wish they had set it up easier for viewers to guess first...

I hope you are recovering well, my friend. I will be much slower to complain about the maxillofacial surgery I had a decade under full anesthesia going forward. The nerve damage is a small inconvenience to pay for not having to feel what the doctor was doing while I was knocked out.

55/1.8 is still a killer lens even if it has some age on it.

So far we've hit 38F here (4000 feet). Colors are already starting the transformation.
Hope I can get ok'ed for outside ventures soon.
