Spent the weekend in Driggs, ID. Did some mountain biking and some hiking. Took this shot of the Tetons last night from our friend's front yard. What a view!

Managed ssome Milky way shots in a short time window last night. Star party at the McDonald Observatory tonight. Better window for Milkyway tomorrow night. Last night in thee mountains was overcast unfortunately so nothing from the higher elevations. Returned to our mid-point heading home. Had decent skies last night so snapped a few. Sep 27, 2021 08:38 | #50838 An ICM image of a group of Aspens that I found on next to the Peak-to-Peak highway. These trees were on private property so I made sure to stand behind the owner's fence. - Alfredo -

Image (might be too harsh for some/look with discretion) showing why. Had my first debridement/huge chunks of dead flesh removed. Lots of fun/no anesthesia for that or the stitches post blood clot removal. As mentioned before, 1/2 inch deeper and I wouldn't be here today. Still a ways to go in the healing process...and so behind on outdoor projects/outdoor dirty work still prohibited by the doctor ![]() Injury was 3+ weeks ago now. ![]() Hosted photo: posted by MedicineMan4040 in ./showthread.php?p=19287133&i=i76413686 forum: Sony Digital Cameras

Sep 27, 2021 16:13 | #50842 Mountain biked up to this spot on Saturday and we just sat there for a long time in the silence taking in the view. Fall is my favorite time to be outside.

I hope you are recovering well, my friend. I will be much slower to complain about the maxillofacial surgery I had a decade under full anesthesia going forward. The nerve damage is a small inconvenience to pay for not having to feel what the doctor was doing while I was knocked out.
