Every afternoon a couple of whitetails does come into my pasture to feed. They bring their fawns along. The fawns always wind up romping around and having a good time. When they see me, they take off for the creek bottom, flying through the air. The does just stay and feed. Always great fun to watch them all. The fall is truly a great time of the year for everyone including the wildlife.:-):-):-)

Like this shot Terry, it reminds me of how many times I've seen the wrong end of a White Tailed Deer. When the fawns do this running and jumping all over the place it sure can make the old Doe nervous until she is sure they are just acting like the kids they are,:-)

Olympic National Park's Hurricane area was a great place for seeing deer. Our presence did not bother them at all. I'm not an expert to tell what species they were though.

Wenyu,

They are Blacktail Deer. Blacktails are the only species of Deer that live in that area. In fact, the Hurricane Ridge area that you were at may very well be the best place in the world for photographing mature Blacktail bucks, due to their high degree of habituation and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Deep in the woods with heavy brush and canopy light, all I could get was a head shot, and pure luck at that.

Fallow does. Alpha heard calling in the distance but I couldn't get to a decent vantage point without disturbing the ladies. Nobody else was joining in anyway, it's early in the season yet, but sometime next week I reckon I'll catch some action.

A tender moment (if you'll pardon the anthropomorphism)
***Full disclosure*** I've replaced the background because it was awful. Everything else in the composition is as shot.
