Paul, you have an innate ability to capture the most awesome images! This two shot series is so impressive! I would most definitely hang one or both of these shots on the wall.

Lovely three shot series of this belted kingfisher, Theresa! Very nice work. I especially like the third shot, which shows water droplets flying in all directions.

The plover was a grazing shot but made so by the curve in the topography. No belly crawling
The male wren does seem to have an easy life but I have seen them contribute when it comes to collecting food.
Watching this one with interest

He's a beauty Mike. Handsome fella.
Nicely puffed up for his mugshot.
They are a beautiful colour.

Thanks, Mike! I looked at the habitat map for Merlins and thought it would be more common for you westerners. It's not super-rare here but it's not that often we see them either. I spent several years trying to see my first, then, a few years back in the dead of winter at a frozen lake, 3 Merlins showed up at the lake's edge trying to get a sip of water from a thawed area. You never know how this birding game will go. Good luck getting yours!
