Awesome idea, actually. If this particular beach wasn't 2 hours away for me, I'd redo it. Haha

I'm hoping to go down there in early November. Where would be the best place to spend a night?

Yeah it's interesting when you're up there just waiting for sunset... and you look down at how steep and carved out the bowl is... Almost every trip I see someone lose drinks/camera lens covers/etc tumbling down into the bowl.... It's crazy thinking that the entire thing is carved out by just wind/water... Imagine a timelapse of an Arch being created...

Inspeqtor wrote in post #19295759 (external link)
That has been there for a millennia of years, let's hope it stays for another millennia!!;-)a;-)a

Then in another millennia of years when people look into the bowl, and they see drink cups and old cameras, they say "Wow what in the world is that old stuff and what was it used for 1,000 years ago!!! LOL LOL ;-)a :p :-D

Can't decide which one I wanted to post, so here's all three. :-P
We got lucky with one of the first decent snowfalls of the season!

Yes on the logs. I had to climb over a few to get to a place where I thought the composition would be good plus I could balance both myself and the tripod safely. This was my first time here.

Looks like you got a late spring shot of "the tree" at the Portland Japanese Gardens. Way smaller than I thought it would be. I had to ask where it was after I walked the path more than once.

'Tis the Landscape! And those are. I don't know what the moderators think about cross-posting of images, but those would also fit nicely in the Fence thread, the 2021 Fall thread, the Favorite Trees thread, Leaves thread, etc.
