Moon and Venus through my dead Bois de Arc tree. Tree is beginning to look like a widow maker, but I just hate to cut it down.

Tonight's 26% waxing crescent.

We had a fun night looking at Venus, Luna, Saturn and Jupiter visually. Great to see 4 major solar system bodies in the evening before it even gets dark!

Last night set my gear to image IC 417 Spider Nebula through L-eXtreme filter and while it was below neighbor's roof I took Full Moon 2K video just for trial. I did Moon shots quite few times with no filters or B&W through red filter for sharper details and was curious how it will turn out through L-eXtreme filter. So, processed video in AutoStekkert and sharpened in RegiStax6. Stretched color saturation and it come out with quite interesting picture spectrum.

Heya,

I was clouded out for the full phase, so I had to settle for a 97.7% (98%) Waning Gibbous tonight. High phase discs are neat despite being low contrast on the features because so much more light is being reflected and it's a lot easier to get a good sample of the color of the moon when saturating what you get with RGB.
