Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is At Rest. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us something At Rest

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

This is one of our pet bunny's at rest. His name is Albus and he loves to sit behind the couch in the sun:

At rest, you say? That car is going to slide right out of the garage. Gravity 1, Ferrari 0.

As the late afternoon sun fades into the west, the red coated Dingo rests amongst the forest that is the back of our yard.
The Dingo has spent much of the week digging and scraping, with the last day or so drilling holes at seemingly regular intervals
along quite straight lines which apparently are to become the habitat of the indigenous square-faced fencepost.
Such was the effort required to create these holes/habitat, the red coated Dingo ruptured some of it's arteries requiring
a visit from a surgical unit specially trained in Dingo hydraulics. Long live the red coated Dingo!

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Quite a story, joeseph :-P

what can I say, it's been a long week! We've had painters in to paint both the boy's bedrooms, a builder to construct a wardrobe & do some remedial things around the house (around 100 years old - the house, not the builder) plus a landscape company doing their very best to drag the outside into some sort of shape - very woody hedge removed, fence going in, trees pruned back, lawn levelled & will get nice grass put in.
Hate to think what it's all costing but you can't take it with you! In between the mayhem the accountant wanted me to buy a camera for my birthday, so have rather splurged on a Canon mirrorless to reduce the weight of the 1Dx - I had heart problems earlier in the year, all sorted now but I'm not keen on lugging that much weight around anymore. :-)

A big storm is expected later today and all day tomorrow. If the power goes out, my computer will be at rest, and I won't be able to show you.

I just went through something similar, house wise, that is. Summer brings that on in home owners! I have a new fence and new HVAC. Now I'm waiting for the unexpected breakdown of something... .. .

Sorry about your health issue, glad it is sorted. Got nothing if you don't have your health!

A light rain just began 30 minutes ago here and we're predicted to get over 6 inches of rain in the next 36 hours.

That will put an end to fire season up here. Which will put my wildfire anxiety to rest. :-)
