I did not see a review of this lens perhaps I missed it?

Anyway, I was able to rent this lens for a couple of weeks as I am 'interviewing' long lens to add to my equipment. I am a amateur at best.

I shot with a mark 1 DX1 on a both some sunny days and overcast. I was very pleased with the images and the percent of decent shots. All were hand held. I did some post processing on the dog shots, but did not do anything on the football shots.

Sample Photos to follow. I am very happy with the results. B&H has this lens back ordered, so I am waiting. $6000. But very tempted. :)

I have this lens, bought it new from B&H a few years ago. Many consider it one of Canon's sharpest lens.
Have you considered buying it used? I see a potn member selling one.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Indoor, no flash, minor adjustment in Lightroom.

I love this lens. But I am kind of a buy new guy. Although my Boxster is used LOL.

It goes back to Lensrental.com tomorrow. Although the 200-400 L with 1.4 is way out of my price range for a hobby use, I am going to rent one anyway :)
