Stiga Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 06, 2021 05:56 | #3647 Well, the week is up and I must say that I am very pleased with the response and the variety of interpretation 2. digital paradise B&W shots don't normally rock my boat but this interpretation has real impact. I particularly like the foreground emphasis and the darkening of the left hand side, this draws the eye to the right to focus on the lighthouse and beach cobbles. Think I would have cropped a bit off the top though. 3. Hon. Mention goes to RDWP's lighthouse with sun rays. So, as 'Peano has declared, "Not competing ... just loitering and prowling", I am passing the torch to digital paradise Martin

Stiga Cream of the Crop More info Post edited over 1 year ago by Stiga. (2 edits in all) | Nov 08, 2021 08:01 | #3653 Firstly let me say what an interesting shot to work with; there is so much going on and I can see several images within it. Now to my workflow. 3. Starting with my DNG, I used ACR extensively. Exposure to brighten the whole image, Colr temp to warm thing up a bit and lots of color saturation too. Content Aware was used to remove the lamppost. I used other tweaks too but cannot remember all of them. 4. Crop #3 using 16:9 ratio. The fill an awkward bit of sky in the top RH corner which distracted my eye. I also boosted the red jacket a bit Martin

RDWP Goldmember More info Post edited over 1 year ago by RDWP. | Nov 08, 2021 22:10 | #3657 As Martin said - there are several separate compositions within. Took this smaller arrangement to work on. First one, Aurora HDR: initial crop and Vivid setting at 58, plus increased colour Vibrance. Then to Luminar Ai to erase and/or clone out a few small distractions etc; added a bit of Glow and increased temperature slightly; placed yellow towel this side of light pole. RDWP Goldmember More info Post edited over 1 year ago by RDWP. | Nov 08, 2021 22:37 | #3658 This one: making use of the street light for a different look. Aurora for crop and Misty Landscape as base. Then to Luminar Ai for similar erasing/cloning; placed sun glow on pole and masked all but the downward rays/glow; swapped in one of my gibbous moon skies; Adjusted Toning, Colour Harmony and some general burning in the sky. (I should have darkened the cityscape behind before I applied the streetlight lighting; next time.) Image hosted by forum (1130540) © RDWP [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. RDWP Goldmember More info | Nov 09, 2021 10:41 | #3659 Question: Anyone using Topaz Sharpen Ai as a plug-in from Aurora HDR? Used to work fine but lately - most of the time - when it is imported back into Aurora it is a cropped version of the original - rest of the image missing (see screen captures below, before and after). Not related to the area I was previewing in Topaz. Doesn't happen when saving from Topaz as a stand-alone. Can't see anything on this on POTN Aurora or Topaz threads. Only thing on the WWW I've found is that someone reported similar when Topaz was used as a plugin with another software, not related to Luminar products. No solution I've seen. Wonder if its a quirk of the software or my hardware combo. Image hosted by forum (1130598) © RDWP [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
