Selling my 100mm L macro. This is a fantastic lens. Probably the lens i used the most. Switching to mirrorless so EF lenses are going. Comes with bag and hood.

I'm not price policing, I'm simply curious - why is this lens used going for so much more now when a few years ago it was only worth $600-700 used?

No, you're right, they are being sold for more now. I was curious as to why they suddenly jumped a few hundred dollars. If you look up this exact lens in the For Sale section from a few years ago, the price for a used copy was between $600-700 depending on the usage. Then in somewhere in 2019-2020 the price almost doubled.

I checked eBay. Sold listings within the last 90 days shows NO listings sold for more than $800 (used, U.S seller, auction style).
