Those are beautiful Matthew. Your itch may have waned but your skills go where you go.
Having song birds about is a real blessing IMO
I just woke to the melody of a Butcher Bird that carries far and wide.
I'd love a photo but knowing it was out there, somewhere, was more than enough.

Enjoy your surroundings and do what's needed, gives you a buzz, and your song birds :-)

I finally landed a shot here in my new home state, that I am excited about! Not only that, I've never landed a decent photo of a Red-breasted Nuthatch, so this shot makes me super happy! The yellow in the background is a patch of blooming wildflowers, hallmark of the oncoming fall season. Best time of year!

And a capture of the ubiquitous Black-capped Chickadee:

The fall migrants are making there way through Northeast Ohio giving way to some great photo ops. First up a Cedar Waxwing cooling off in a stream. Next a female Common Yellow-throat in a flower field.

Some lovely shots in here, anyone else experiencing any dust issues in their D500's?

Hey Pag....

I really haven't had much in the way of sensor dust on my D500's, but my wife's D500 seems to get spots pretty often.

Mine is in the viewfinder stuck between the prism and the first eyepiece elelment - cant get to it or do anything about it, I know it desn't effect the photos in anyway its just anoying when it was brought as a mint second hand model just 4 months ago.

dirty sensor. it's been happening since the d600 :P

as much as I like Chris and Jordan, I have to disagree. the nikons do need cleaning often. I've had to frequently clean when I had my d800.

Not the sensor - the viewfinder eyepiece optics or on the face of the prism.

Wake, my favorite thread!

Here's a couple from our trip to FL last week.

These were from a couple weeks back in Galveston. It was the 1st time we'd seen White-Tailed Kites. Man, they are beautiful!
