An old slide scanned
Lea River, Tasmania
The Lea starts from a lake and ends at the confluence with the Iris River to form the Wilmot River
It drops around 359m over its 16.3km length
Wild, rugged and untouched

The little island "Tiengemeten". It is protected and a sort of museum. Children may play here. you come there by a ferry.

Hebden Bridge. West Yorkshire. UK.
Sometime ago I posted these pictures that I had taken c1963 and asked for help in identifying the location because I think I un-identified pictures can be a bit meaningless.
Surprisingly, no cyberspace bandwidth was wasted in the replies.-?
Anyway, a bit of research by my good self found the location to be Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire.:-)
Re-posting the pictures.
Edit: I added the bottom picture as a panorama from two others. A job not easily done when these pictures were taken - we had to wait a few more years for Photoshop to happen.:-)

Good sleuthing Ray! Ee bah goom lud, it's time for a trip to that hill in West Yorkshire for some sixty year later shots.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Thanks, Pippan. You’ve even got the accent correct, I can feel it coming through as I read your comment. Not bad for an Ozzie:-D
I hope I haven’t revealed the location to the Luftwaffe, or there might be ‘Trooble at t’mill’.:-(
I might take a trip back sometime, it’s on my list of things to do.
