First snow this year. Not much to brag about yet.

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

Beautiful mountain Richard! Is this in your back or front yard??? Wow if it is!!

Now then, you said something I have never heard before.... what is a snow scud??? That is a new one to me!!

Thanks Charles. It's our backdrop seen from home. About 10km south of us.
What we see every moment of the day :-P. Except when it's clouded in which is often

Scud. A driving shower of rain or snow. In this case snow.
It was like a constant light mist in effect across the mountain.

This one wasn't from home. I went for a drive to get closer

Yeah the hiking here is different from Oregon... a few miles here are a lot of easy Oregon miles!! Best part though is that you have views everwhere you go, so if it's not a windy day, and you want to get away from the Zoo, and are not one of those prone to always getting lost individuals, you can simply park and hike along the rocks and just get in some alone time, and more often than not, you find new perspectives this way. It's crazy because I see all these people on "Vacation" speeding along, blinders on 'must see _____' and they're passing up great compositions right along the park roads and have no idea. UNLESS they see you pulled over with the lens out, it's not on the 'bucketlist'. I'm just lost on how that's a "vacation" and not "work..." but to each their own. I'm in the "I'd rather see one place several times, than several places one time..." It's just better, maybe only photographers get that?

Really really cool! I need to get out there!

I'd think a 400mm lens would make for some cool abstract and compression shots of this area
