I set myself a little test in focusing today. The first shot is using autofocus, which focused on the reflection of the trees in the pond. For the second I used manual focus and I focused on the leaves floating on the water surface. I think I prefer the leaves in focus, but I was surprised I couldn't get the autofocus to focus on the leaves at all. Fascinating! I'm sure you all agree. :-):-)

I took this image while hiking through the rain along the Middle Prong Trail. I don't typically ascend the heights of ISO, so I'm pretty amazed when I do and get results that are actually useable. It doesn't seem that long ago that I wouldn't have bothered if I couldn't get the image at ISO 400 or lower.

RF 24-70L (I really wish this would make it into the gear list)
