A couple of green reptiles….

Interestingly I am using the EF 1.4X teleconverter Mk3 and it shows up as 189mm instead of 190mm.
Processed using Canon’s DPP the RAW files and despite ISO5000 the noise levels are well controlled.

The Lions at the local zoo had to be quarantined because all of them had been infected with Covid-19! But the tigers appear to be well and healthy and this chap sat up for me.

Well, our zoo has opened to annual pass holders and limited attendees who have to book specific times. Added to that is a lot of construction as work is accelerated to catch up from lost time from lockdowns as they rebuild some major enclosures in time for next years centenary. Consequently, options for viewing and photography were limited, but I was lucky enough to reach my favourite bird: the NZ Kea when the birds were getting ice fruit blocks to give them a cooling treat (it is pretty hot here today)

I like to go to the zoo and spend time with just one animal. I call it the 1:1:1 project.
One enclosure, one hour, one image. I hope that by doing so I can capture more of the animal's essence.
Here is one attempt...

That's very well executed.
Such endearing creature.

You'll have to be careful you don't become an exhibit with your project :-P

I think from the Orangutan's perspective, I might already be!

What a gorgeous creature, and a fantastic capture of it.
I really love the big cats.
