Return it like immediately.
Like other have said...DONT open it....return it for a refund, then buy another....

If it's working fine, why do that. The replacement might be more damaged from it's tosses where this one seems to have survived the trip.

I know the media was spinning the story as the drivers were tossing the packages but I suspect that it was the work of porch pirates instead. Think about it, A driver clearly knows every package is traced to its final destination. Why on earth would they toss it? Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I do feel your pain. That would be ideal but alas, there are very few if any left. In addition, the few big box stores that do carry equipment tend to have the cheaper hardware and charge a lot more than what I can get online. I fear that the mom and pop option just isn't a option in most locations. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Dec 08, 2021 10:57 | #24 UPS triggered me into buying a doorbell cam a few years ago when they literally tossed a package, ultimate frisbee style, right through my bay window. It was a bubble mailer with 5 lugnut wheel-locks. Launched from no less than 60ft away with one foot still on the back of the truck. The guy stared in shock for about 5seconds and then just got back into the truck. Luckily a neighbor caught it on a security cam. UPS covered the $1200 repair, surprisingly with minimal resistance. I have since made a claim with FedEx because one of their drivers backed up my driveway, ran over my landscape lighting, rammed my garage door, and then side swiped the mailbox during the escape....$1900 bill covered. Some of these guys are absolute savages. Wow!!! Charles

He drove right up onto the hood of my car, as if the front of my car was a ramp! . When you're sitting in the driver's seat, and the front bumper of a FedEx truck is 2 feet in front of your face, you know that something has gone terribly wrong ![]() Fortunately, it was a very low speed crash, so I wasn't hurt at all. . How in the world did the driver not see me when he was only going a few miles and hour, and I was only going a few miles an hour? . What a doofus! The police officer who came to the scene yelled and yelled, repeatedly and loudly, at the FedEx driver, and wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise. . Evidently, that nitwit driver had caused several accidents in this jurisdiction, and the cops were sick of dealing with the aftermath caused by his carelessness. With 333,000 miles on the odometer, and unrepaired damage from a previous accident, the car was practically worthless, with a book value of around $600. . But FedEx took good care of me, and paid me $4800 for the car. . FedEx self-insures, so there was no need to deal with a 3rd party for settlement / compensation, and I got the check for $4,800 within two days. . Surprisingly, the car was still drivable, so I was able to drive it around until I bought a replacement a couple of weeks later. The fact that these drivers are the ones who are entrusted with getting our packages to us in a professional, timely, and safe fashion ..... well, no wonder our stuff gets all beat up in transit, if it ever even arrives at all.
