jeffreybehr Senior Member More info | Nov 29, 2021 13:09 | #8238 Scoobert wrote in post #19308436 This little 9 pound creature was my foster. A 6 year old puppy mill momma that could not have babies anymore so the mill dumped her at an auction that the rescue I foster for attends. After a month of getting her to trust that not all humans are bad she really warmed up to me and had gotten good with going potty on a pad. We adopted her out to a great family and I missed her real bad and kept telling my my wife that I made a mistake letting her go. A week later her adopters called and said she only comes out from behind the couch to eat and poop on the carpet in front of them, then goes back to hiding. They wanted to return her and get a refund. I told them I would be right there to pick her up. I flew across town at record speed. I paid her adoption fees the same day because I was not going to repeat my earlier mistake and let her go again. It was later explained to me that many dachshunds only pick one human to bond with. She had picked me and fate (and her being little pain in the butt) let her come back to the human she chose. I couldn't be happier with her choice. Our new family member Dottie the miniature Dachshund GORGEOUS girl and pics; TY for posting.. I love the contrast of the white-and-red-on-blue and black-on-black pic.. Thank you very much for saving her. Fuji X-H2 w/SmallRig all-around L-plate.. Fugi lenses in 10-24/4, 16-55/2.8, 70-200, and 33/1.4, Canon TS-Es in 24/3.5 and 50/2.8, and Viltrox 75/1.2..
