Thanks.
I'd settle for beauties like yours any day.
They are such magnificent birds.
I really like yours :-)

Thanks Richard

A little back story. There were a pair hunting in high brush along a dirt road leading to someone's ranch. They had there back to me, so no good shots to be had. One of them got luck, and flew to a post with its catch, where I captured the image. I credited the wife for spotting them, as were driving on the main road. If I was by myself driving, I would of never spotted them.

Cara Cara
Related to the typical falcons, but very different in shape and habits. The Crested Caracara is a strikingly patterned, broad-winged opportunist that often feeds on carrion. Aggressive, it may chase vultures away from road kills. Widespread in the American tropics, it enters our area only near the Mexican border and in Florida. 'Caracara' comes from a South American Indian name, based on the bird's call.

It's hovering must have made it easier to capture the photo.

It was coming in for a landing on the pole, just putting the brakes on.

Why would a fish jump up at an Egret? Looks like they are trying to communicate.
