Thanks for participating folks. Here Goes.

Mozes: Nice natural edit. A little cooler than the actual morning. Lifting the shadows was a good idea to improve the image.
rrblint: Nearly as warm as my final edit. I think the mist is heavier than I'd done myself. A little too bright on the towpath, it was quite dark on there despite the fact that the light was bright.
Bianchi: Soft and moody with a similar feel overall to mine. I like it.
'Peano: I prefer the second edit - the Clarity on the foreground is a bit too much. The colour is also quite cool.
Stiga: Good wintry effect there Martin I can imagine it being like that. I miss the autumnal warmth of the sunrise though.

Best edit for me is Bianchi - over to you. Here's my finished edit - it was as golden as that - beautiful journey.

I chose 1 image to work on which gave the best highlights to work with. I cropped into a letterbox, straightened in Camera Raw, then set white and black points, cloned out a dust bunny or two then used Topaz Detail extractor and pro Contrast, then high pass sharpened.

Not competing, just playing.

I used two of the images, one dark and one bright. Selectively combined for nighttime feel with brightness on the buildings. Various photo filters for warmth and sunset glow. Painted a bunch of window lights on a blank layer in normal mode. Blank layer in soft light mode for horizon glow. Brightness/contrast layer to selectively darken the sky.

They are both very nice, but I think I prefer the monochrome. The red dress in the color version is too much of a visual distraction and immediately drew my eyes to it rather than to the models face. In the monochrome version I was immediately drawn to her face.

Thanks Mark and yes I agree that the monochrome Cappuccino version draws more attention to her face, but I also like the colors in the Glamour version. Control Lines came in really handy here and I used the standalone version of Filmpack 6, whereas I normally just use the PL5 integrated version. I had already processed the image in PL5 before I thought of using FP6 and the FP6 presets in PL5 are full presets which would have cancelled out my previous work in PL5.

I left the standalone version of FP6 installed after EA, so I thought: "Why not?". This allowed the full preset to be added on top of my previous work which I think worked really well here. I like this workflow, it may not work on every photo but worth keeping in the toolbox for future reference. I think I may use it a lot more in the future. Many of the presets in FP6 are awesome when applied as a full preset on top of the work already applied in PL5. This is something that I didn't try during EA!

Wouldn't making a virtual copy of the image in PhotoLab, applying the Cappuccino preset to the VC, and then selectively copying the edits from the Master copy to the virtual copy resolve that issue?
