Not why it is but this image seems to just 'pull me in", not sure how else to describe it.

I'm smiling Jose. Just put on your swim suit and dive in.

Same individual from last time but not in the best of locations, he likes perching amongst the concrete and iron rubble.

I think the rusty metal looks great. Just a good contrast/texture wise too, with the soft white feathers.
You know I'm jealous don't you :)

OK, not the shooting conditions I would ever want=Setting Sun was 1-2 feet to the right of the owl in the tree :(
A member of our group saw this owl fly into a group of trees but no fly out. Even knowing the 5-7 trees it was in it took
20 min's of slowly doing up and down the truck at 840mm to find him. I'm sure I went over him several times before the
aha moment.

^ That's such a cool owl shot Robert. So well camouflaged.

---------------

I'm still loving this a1. The image quality is great but it's the colors where I'm finding an improvement over my older a7RII. Those files take a bit more work in post processing.

Best 2021 wildlife shot I seen, the fact the owls eyes are closed helps with it's camouflage. Awesome capture !!!

excited with a trade i did...

my Fujifilm X-T4, Fujinon 10-24F4 and Fujinon 56mm F1.2

for

Minty Sony 70-200GM I and Zeiss 55mm F1.8

i'm done with Fuji. It's a nice camera. Great color, great image quality and impressive vintage look but it slows me down in RE especially because of the lack of custom mode dial which I always use with Sony.

Oh...hello there new toy...I can't use it a lot. UT I am working on a new personal project and it will be useful. I sold the A7iii and was planning to buy one...then had to buy new tires on both cars...and opted to not buy the drone. But the school gave me a thank you gift for all the volunteer photography work I do and I decided that it needed to be put to gear...so...hopefully it has a better lifespan than the last 3 cheap drones I had. Next to my EDC pocket knife to show scale.

It's amazing how you could even spot that guy in the tree! What a fantastic capture.

Well. Christmas came a bit early this year Sony 70-200 GM II. Of all the year shooting I have never owned a 70-200 so this is new territory for me:-).

The Mavic Mini 2. I didn't want to drop loads of cash into one. But I have a need coming up and while I at times hate these things, they offer a perspective that can't be replicated any other way.

Yeah, it's tiny, and light so that is good. Fast and pretty easy to fly really.
