OK, not the shooting conditions I would ever want=Setting Sun was 1-2 feet to the right of the owl in the tree :(
A member of our group saw this owl fly into a group of trees but no fly out. Even knowing the 5-7 trees it was in it took
20 min's of slowly doing up and down the truck at 840mm to find him. I'm sure I went over him several times before the
aha moment.

my goodness that's so hard to spot. I would most likely pass by it and be startled when it flies away in front of me :P

excited with a trade i did...

my Fujifilm X-T4, Fujinon 10-24F4 and Fujinon 56mm F1.2

for

Minty Sony 70-200GM I and Zeiss 55mm F1.8

i'm done with Fuji. It's a nice camera. Great color, great image quality and impressive vintage look but it slows me down in RE especially because of the lack of custom mode dial which I always use with Sony.

how much were you going to sell the fuji set for? I'm just curious because the 70-200gm1 is cheap at the moment. 2,299.99 new at the moment.

Well. Christmas came a bit early this year Sony 70-200 GM II. Of all the year shooting I have never owned a 70-200 so this is new territory for me:-).

Grats!!

the 70-200 does a wonderful job at events. pretty decent for wildlife/birds as well. Lots of time Id like a longer range, so 200 might not be enough for the out doors. Even at the zoo I find the 200 short. Other than that, the gm2 seems like an awesome update. Being light is the big factor for me. gm1 was already fast but this is expected to be faster. I did find the gm1 to be lacking in the iq department and it was bad with the teleconverter. gerald undone mentioned the gm2 works well with the tc and would consider selling his 100-400gm.

it's with the Zeiss 55F1.8 too.

Another issue I have with Fuji is they're very hard to sell.

Wow sound like a fantastic trip! I hear there are a lot of castles along the Rhine and I'm not sure how close they are to the river margins so I would be tempted to take some longer glass just for that.

Well if weight is a big consideration for you the the V2 of this lens is just the ticket, i was actually surprised on how light it felt in the hand considering it's size.

Nice! Castles are kind of my thing, to the point that my partner refuses to see another castle:lol:. I think I've seen most if not all Portuguese castles and a good portion of the Spanish castles as well. I still like visiting them, especially the more remote ones, this one is near the town where I was born, it's an old Templar castle.
