A nice shot.
Is it all natural light or was there a fill light for the under body? The light looks so nice.

Hummingbirds were once thought to not winter in Louisiana, but after exhaustive study of 43 years, several hummingbirds are now documented to spend winters here. We hosted at least 4 Rufous at our home last winter.

Here are two who are banded and documented as part of the Louisiana Winter Hummingbird Project study:

The small bit of white at the top of the head is the remnant of banding mark - to avoid unnecessarily recapturing the same bird.
