I found an eagle to photograph today and a kingfisher at my local park. Fun times. Also found more ice patterns.

This one is from my trip on Monday morning.

Still no word about Gene? I sent a message through his Flickr page so will see if I get an answer. He hasn't been here in over two months now.

Down in our bit of woodland, I've tried this sort of thing a few times now and this is one of the ones i don't totally dislike!

OK, not the shooting conditions I would ever want=Setting Sun was 1-2 feet to the right of the owl in the tree :(
A member of our group saw this owl fly into a group of trees but no fly out. Even knowing the 5-7 trees it was in it took
20 min's of slowly doing up and down the truck at 840mm to find him. I'm sure I went over him several times before the
aha moment.

That owl capture is so amazing. Showed it to my wife and she gasped. First thing she said “how did you spot the owl!” I have to say that was my same reaction as well!

i need a high MP Sony. I'm torn between a used RIV or the A7IV. What would you prefer?

Id go with the a74 because it has the new color wb and a built in fix for focus breathing on the sony lens. 34mp should be more than enough unless you are needing the 60 :P

Well after 2 years of booking cancel book cancel book cancel book cancel and.... book.

It looks like we fly out to Switzerland tomorrow.

Basel then down the Rhine on a Viking Cruise ending in Amsterdam and then 2 extra days there.

Hoping to still get into some of the christmas markets.

Only going to bring the 7r4 the 14, 35 and then either the 85 or if I go heavy the 100-400

Hoping to get something LOL

Wow awesome. Switzerland is such a beautiful country. You should get some amazing views of the mountains along the Rhine. Enjoy!

Same! Love gran turismo. The previous one on PS4 was a disappointment but the PS5 version looks to be back on form
