Haven't been much into photography lately... Just a quick image of the full moon rising tonight through a 2032mm telescope. Used silent mode to help reduce vibration, still not a sharp as I'd like image.

Remnants of Christmas' past.

This may be my most heavily processed image yet. First attempt at selective color.

Sorry, had a question and I know the info is out there in this thread somewhere but I just can’t find it. I’m interested in any slick button setups to be able to quickly switch between one shot and face detect focus modes. I tried using the multi function bar for this but it’s clunky for me to use. I currently just use the quick menu to change modes. But that can be clunky as well and takes a few clicks. Which I find I can miss some shots clicking around to change the focus settings. Any help would be appreciated. Thx!

You can assign a button to cycle through the available focus modes on each press. If there are too many to cycle through you can also limit the options available in the menu set up. I found if every option was available it became too cumbersome. I limited it to face detect, single point and large zone and removed the rest. I also assigned the video button to turn eye detect on and off. (I don’t shoot video)

I had this set up for a while but have gone back to the quick menu as I wanted to utilise the button for something else

Nomis - thx, that setup might work great for me. Question. How did you limit the focus mode options when you made the button assignment?

AF tab 5 "Limit AF Methods."

There's the default method (two-button press though) in a pinch. Press the AF point button, and then press the multi-function button. The AF method option menu displays, and you can select the method. If you select face detect, you can also use the info button to toggle eye AF on and off. Nomis' solution is probably quicker though.

To limit the AF methods available, go to the auto focus tab 5, then select Limit AF methods. You need to remove the check mark for each mode that you don't want

Thanks! You all are awesome. I’m all set up now. Will see how it works in practice and tweak it from there. I limited the focus modes and mapped the af selection to one of the arrow buttons.

I was in Bahrein in the 60's - it certainly has changed! :) Excellent shot.
