It's interesting to see how much my boy is interested in hunting, now that we've done it. He mainly stayed on the trails, before, but now, he'll lift his nose and go into grassy areas quite often. Here he is doing his off-trail thing. :)

This year we've hunted a lot less, for various reasons - I've shot three birds thus far but despite a dog and two hunters searching, 2 of the three birds were never found! Sad! But I did locate this one. My pup's pretty good at finding/flushing, but horrible at finding downed birds.
