Ok, so I find it a little intimidating to post "best" photos on any thread that Rob starts. He is in a league so far beyond what I can do.

That being said, this year wasn't the best for wildlife for me, but I got a couple that I liked.

I like this one simply because this was the first time I had ever used an ultraviolet light to look for critters.

I like this one because, while I know that they are present, this is the first time I had ever seen a river otter at this wildlife refuge.

I like this one because I usually only see ruby-throated hummingbirds in my yard. This nice little rufous stuck around for about a week and didn't mind posing for me.

Tim

Perhaps your subjects/conditions aren't so consistent, but I think you selll yourself short there, Tim :) That Rufous is a wonderful image; nice, clean and pose is amazing.

Zebras always make a great subject for graphic design compositions. This zebra shot was taken in Kenya in September. I think that was Ambosli, but could have been the Mara. Right off hand I can't remember. The big ellie was in Amboseli, Kenya in September this year. The crossed tusks made the animal very interesting to me.

Sweet shots!

What species are they?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
