Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Balanced. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Let's make some of images of things in Balance/Balanced

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

I'm trying to find balance between illuminating the watch and illuminating the glow. Not having a lot of success yet but I liked this shot nonetheless. I think i took this Tuesday so it should count ;)

hello there ;) I try to stop by whenever I visit and thank you, always good to be seen ;)

No more snow here. We had quite the cold spell but it started raining last week and the snow is pretty much gone except where it was plowed into a big pile or something like that.

Tefe sings sweetly in the shower.

. . .

Balancing one force with another. The latching mechanism in this old photocopier broke on Thursday. Now the whole upper part of the machine stays up, supported by a vigorous, healthy spring somewhere. This is bad news.

The good news is, I can still make copies if I press down firmly on the top during the copying process or weight it like this:

As an ignoramus in a temperate zone, I have to ask: How do people ever stand up with those things on their feet? Do they have to keep moving?

LOL
No, you can stand still on skates. But yeah, skating is a skill one needs to learn.

And the younger you are the easier it is. Something about a low center of gravity I suppose. Plus the lack of embarrassment (and injury!!) when you wipeout. My girls learnt to skate before they turned three. I still struggle after years of "practice".

CC always welcome.

I was on the ice from a very young age. On a type of wooden skates, safe for toddlers. We had real winters back then and everybody skated. I haven’t been on the ice in a long while although I still have a pair of skates. But skating is like bicycling, once learned, it’s learned for life. Although maybe not if you learn it at a later age?
