It's funny how so much changes and so much doesn't in 10 years of absence. How've you been?

How are things with you these days?

Not too bad. Just started a new position at my job. Still engineering technician, just different discipline of engineering and a pay raise. So I'm learning the ropes with the new group. outside of work, life is good. Neither of us have had the virus so that's a big plus lol How about you? How old is your boy now? Have you guys had any more?

oh cool, pay raises and engineering are always good.

Life is not bad here, left boston, now in northern VA, just outside of DC. Been here just over a year now, so it has been a good transition down. We did have one more. Alexander is now 10, and Lauren is going to be 5... so yeah, life is buuuuusy :D

10! Wow! Time flies man, I can't believe that. What prompted the move from Boston to VA? We moved 3 years ago but only about 25 minutes from where we were, so not a big move but into a bigger home. It's a little more rural too where we are now which is also nice.

Wow, lets see.... a lot has happened. Left the engineering world, ended up doing an MBA in the evenings up in Boston, had a 2nd kid during that time, so it was working, kids, MBA, and the move down to DC was because my wife was working down here - she would travel and work half a week down here and half a week up in Boston, so we thought we may as well move down right before covid, and have some fun...

Hello to all. Still a lot of recognizable names here. I need to go through this and a few other threads to do a bit of catching up.

Life for me has been crazy busy doing a major reno project on a house and yard with resale idea in mind to gain some retirement income. It worked!

Now to do a major on our forever home. Much smaller than the two previous homes, but plenty big for the two of us. Hope to be done by the end of summer and then move into complete retirement. Well, I will still do stuff for kids, family and friends, but no big projects anymore. :-)

Looks like this thread has a bit of life after all. :) 10 year review.. Hmmm. Moved to TX, had 3 grand kids. Son got out of the AF right when Covid hit and they ended up living with us for 2+ years. Interesting to had small kids in the hours again. :) Other than that, looking down the road a bit to retirement. Want to buy a barndominium out in west TX on 5+ to 60+ acres for not that much $$.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Hi Kody, great to see some folks from when I hung out here regularly. I may be retired, as in no earning, but still super busy. Hoping to finish this forever home then get out travelling, mostly across North America in our trailer.

Greetings good sir - how are things going?

sorry for the delayed response, my laptop had died a miserable death, and it has taken this long for the new one to finally arrive! Hurrah!

I think I'd have a new laptop that day or the next, I can't stand not having connectivity unless I'm on vacation. lol

holy cow! That's nutty! I started a new position at my job back in December, it took 3 or 4 months to get my laptop from Dell.

Since this is a photo site I'll share this here too. Went out last night with thebugster and shot Mt. Rainier.
