Didn't expect anything less from Zeiss. Color rendition, sharpness, bokeh are just beyond any other lenses I have used recently. There's something inexplicably beautiful about the way this lens renders images.
I am by no means a pro but have been shooting ever since I was a kid. My dad was a pro and he taught me everything about photography back in the analog days. I have shot with Zeiss lenses years ago on mostly medium format cameras but that was half a century ago.
About 12 years ago I switched to DSLRs and have shot with some decent cameras and lenses, mostly Canon L series on a 5diii and they were wonderful.
But the colors of Zeiss are just brilliant and true.
The lens is perfect for landscape, architecture, general urban shots, and you can even shoot pretty close up. Here are some images.
