Very nice Martin but the water is draining out of the lake to the left.

I think you are right.s. But sometimes this is an optical illusion, especially if there is lakeside curvature - but I will look at this one again, I think there is a tad too much contrast.

Contrast is perfect Martin! It just needs straightening.

Here's another way to analyze the problem. Anything and it's reflection in water should be on a plumb line. In this case, point A (where two mountain ridges intersect) and and its reflection, point B, should be plumb.

I think I prefer this version. The only workflow difference is that I used SNS for the tone mapping step

1. Straight ot of SNS

2. Sky replacement with Luminar AI

Take it one step further now and mirror the sky so the correct clouds show in the water reflection. ;)

Okay no more edits so I'm calling this one for Martin's very good and deserving edit of the mountain lake, which is now holding it's water. :-P

Congrats and it's all yours Martin!

Post Processing Game

Pretty simple idea

I post a picture, and everyone downloads it, plays around with it and then posts their version of it. After a week or so, I come in, choose the one I like best, and that person posts their own photo. We spend the next week playing with theirs, and then they choose a winner. Repeat ad nauseum.

A few rules...

When you post a photo, leave it as it was straight out of camera.

And don't go overboard with the editing. So no adding in sharks jumping out of the water for extra coolness. The idea is to finish the photo, not to edit it so much that it's unrecognizable.

=======

You have 3 RAWs this week.

1. From Photoretouchingservices (external link)

IMAGE: https://i.postimg.cc/XYNVCKgR/bxycm5-willske-photoretouchingservices-net.jpg

2. From the Signature site (external link)

3. From Kristoffer Trolle's Fugifilm site (external link)

Here is the
pCloud download link (external link) for the 3 royalty-free RAW images

Providing that there are enough uploads, I will do a round-up on All Fool's Day. Have fun!

Not playing just practicing - I leave for a month long trip in a few days so no point in trying to play.
