And his neck stayed warped for quite a while as the fish had wedged in his neck and refused to move !. ..Quite funny to watch an egret trying to free his blockage as he ended up desperately swinging his head and neck around which eventually freed the fish and his neck went back to normal :)

A Northern Pygmy Owl clutches a tasty meal in its claws.

I got to watch this incredible sequence unfold right in front of me, this owl was perched in a tree, then drops into the tall grass and quickly pulls out what I think is a Northern Alligator Lizard. It returned to its perch where it quickly devoured its meal
