My RP started not turning off recently.
Is it R series common problem?

Anyone had this repaired?

I haven't had my R6 repaired because I haven't had it happen.

The only problem I've seen is that with a non-Canon EF-R adapter (Viltrox w/ control ring) the camera once locked up completely. I had to remove the battery. Separately, it didn't recognize some lenses a few times, but I attribute that to the adapter.

Regarding the lock up, I had been deleting many pictures from the SD card in-camera in non-contiguous ranges. So the file system (directory structure, in particular) was a mess. I read somewhere that was a possible cause with the early firmware.

But it's been working flawlessly for many months now using a Canon lens adapter, a mix of Canon and non-Canon EF lenses, and a handful of EF-S lenses just for fun. I've also been using Canon and non-Canon batteries, all with no issues.

Mostly using Canon bodies with lots of different lenses and flash.

Is a damaged switch your issue? Otherwise, I suggest you make sure the firmware is up to date (1.80) and even if it is see if you can re-flash the firmware with the latest and greatest.
