My favorite place on Lake O' the Pines. It was a particularly windy day.

Shot with the RF 14-35L

So I picked up the R today and I’m going to get it all set up. I won’t be able to try it on motocross until next weekend at the earliest, but I’ll take it around over the next few days and try all my lenses.

I mostly shoot JPEG for most everything but I think I’ll try shooting both for the next few sessions and see if I can really make everything better in Lightroom.

It’s going to be a learning curve with all the settings because my last few cameras have had nearly identical buttons and functions. But that’s the fun part. Learning a new body is something I look forward to.

Welcome to the club!

You may want to check if it has a problem. It looks like it only recorded the front of the church and not the side! :-P Just kidding, looks good.

Hahahaha yeah it’s almost like a movie set. It’s just a facade for weddings and stuff.

I got home earlier today and started to download some photos I took.
So far I really like how sharp this camera is.

I've gotten used to how sharp pictures are from this camera, now when I go back to older photos taken with older cameras they seem soft in comparison (partly due to my poor technique at times). Looks like you are getting better results with your 17-40 than I ever did.

Yeah it is really sharp with the 17-40. I am really happy with the way it is performing.
The car old photo is tweaked a bit, but not much sharpening. The wide shot of the building from is traight from the camera. THe shot of my wife has no sharpening, but I did some color toning and a little vignette.
My 70-200 is super sharp and I can not wait to shoot motocross with it. Hopefully that will happen soon but I might be heading out of town for work Sunday for about a month...
