I have already posted this image from the Signal site - I think it was on this thred but it could have been for the Post Processing Game

IMAGE: https://i.postimg.cc/7Y5pJjYH/by-faustjoe-Dx-O.jpg

The other image is by Tim Daniels and he does say on his web site, "... and if you do post your finished versions anywhere, please link back to lapseoftheshutter.com ߙ" (Lapse of the Shutter (external link)) IMO we should do as he asks before POTN management raps our knuckles!

merged together
match colors.
added linear filter for some sun glare (top left oblique to right below)
so the light from both photos are more off the same.
Reduce to 1600 pixels with sharpening in the highlights and shadows/darks.

Just twiddling the knobs :-)

P.S. I don't think the Popart app will be taking up valuable space on my C: tomorrow!

Not competing, just playing with lights. Does anyone know what this place is? Looks like these might be little apartments for vacation rentals. It's fascinating to zoom in and poke around in all the little terraces and decks and stairways.

Nice work. Did you use a Resize algorithm or just cropped?
I've been looking to find good uses for the resize tools.

I just cropped it (Photoshop CS6). Had to downsize it a little, to 1600px, to post here. I leave the algorithm on Bicubic, regardless of whether I'm upsizing or downsizing.

Looks like it could be somewhere near Pearl of Caldera Hotel Oia on Santorini island.

Bingo! There's a slew of boutique hotels on Santorini. That location seems to be in the ballpark. Thank you!

A sunset version, cropped. Started with Aurora to adjust light and dark, and cropped to this view. Then Topaz Sharpen - which did a very nice job on the remaining portion. Luminar NEO to swap in one of my own skies, and then played with several sliders for reflection and lighting. Also a fair bit of sliding in NEO''s Relight feature (under Creative) - Brightness Near, Far and Depth adjustments

G'day. Worked up these edits in Luminar Neo. I'm like the Matte with a slight Film Grain. I worked a bit with selective sharpening and softening.

Luminar's sky replacement was a fail with the bridge - it could not / would not pick up the section of sky under the bridge. On1 was spot on with it, plus allows manual clean up with the masking tools so it was possible to do a proper sky replacement. In the end, I liked the original in both cases.

All the best,

All the edits this week were awesome but I have to give it to Mozes. Loved how you seamlessly combined the two photos. And the runner up goes to Peano.
