Drove around today, and seemingly all the Osprey took the same bus to get here. Every nest I checked on Monday that was empty is now occupied. It is finally spring in Maine!

Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts ![]() More info | Apr 06, 2022 23:37 | #12232 Very nice, sharp, colorful coot shot, fotoi! I have a question for you, and anyone else who can chime in. In looking at your coot shot, the body appears a bit longer than it naturally should. I encounter this problem all the time when photographing waterfowl swimming in front of me at a perfect crossing angle. I'm very frustrated by it, and have to try and correct the problem in Photoshop. Teal for example, have fairly short compact bodies, but in all my swimming shots of them crossing in front of me, their bodies look disproportionally long. I hope someone can enlighten me as to what's going on. LD, or Mike

She certainly has an attractive pose in this shot. amyandmark3 wrote in post #19364036 ![]() Raven - I normally don't shoot pics of these guys, but this one was posed nicely for me and he was incredibly huge. He looked kind of like a bowling ball from a distance ![]() ![]() ![]() You captured this guy nicely, Mark! I like to shoot crows and ravens because I find it a challenge to get really nice shots of these all black birds. Admittedly I end up tossing a huge majority of my shots. But if I can get close enough, I'll fire away...hoping to get some nice detail.
