So, used this lens for more than 1/2 of the shots from the track meet yesterday. It really does seem to give a "pop" to the images. The AF is fast. Maybe not as fast as the EF 100-400L II that I was also shooting but pretty fast and accurate. The FPS were fine on the 7DII but would be slowed down on the R6. The top image is from the EF 200 f2.8 and bottom from the 100-400. Both JPEG images with a little cropping. Is the EF 135L f2 even better? I don't know as I have never shot with that lens. I was impressed with how compact the 200 f2.8 is while being somewhat heavy for it's size.

Excellent shots, when I shot exclusively with Canon equipment the 200 f2.8 was a lens I always wanted but never was able to acquire for one reason or another.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

Used to own this len for more than 3 years. Love the colour and contrast

However, I already sold it to get the 135L for shorter range

Thinking about getting it back (maybe)
