They are supposed to work as intended yet in enough situations their longevity and quality can be suspect. That's not to say the branded OEM is 100%, the likelihood tends to yield better results with less worries. Last month I replaced the brake wheel cylinders on one car and went aftermarket. They were 1/3 the price of the dealer item and I expect that in 5 years if they last that long I'll be in there again. yeah the buy OEM and cry once method is definitely worth it. I had kinda given up on the adapters, but I was at the camera shop the other day and they have 2 used Canon branded adapters for 90 bucks. Kinda tempting at that price. But Im still unsure. 5Dc | 7D | 17-40 | 85 F1.8 | 40 STM | 28-135 | 100-400 | 550EX

Apr 16, 2022 20:05 | #1295 I took the new-to-me M50 Mk2 up to Seattle Center yesterday and gave the 11-22 ultrawide lens its first run. For some challenging conditions in a moodily lit gallery, it did quite well! IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/2neHhxb![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() flickr

Apr 19, 2022 21:39 | #1298 I woke up to unexpected sunshine instead of continued rain, so I decided that meant a good opportunity to put the super macro mode on the EF-M 28mm to good use capturing the leftover rain drops on my garden. Plus get in some time with the tripod, which I’m trying to learn not to hate (tripods in general, not this specific one.) IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/2nfqY2n![]() ![]() ![]() flickr

Apr 21, 2022 21:11 | #1303 I have to say, I am just loving the EF-M 28mm macro. I picked it up because “well, I’m going to have some store credit at the LCS, and I can do some flower macros.” But it is quickly becoming one of my favorites, even if I do have to get out a tripod for it most of the time. ![]() ![]() ![]() The full setup was a short tripod and ball head, and topped it off with a hot shoe mounted LED (solid, not flash) light. Pretty sure the light weighs almost as much as the camera, but it is really handy for a bit of fill and accent, especially on the flat gray days we get so often here in Seattle.
